Key To The World

Sept 22nd, 2025
These past couple months have been busy as usual. I try to balance out each day, week and month with everything I do to keep progressing forward. Most aspects of my art career I build myself. I enjoy filming my process, editing and uploading to my social media platforms. I update my website, build new connections, photograph my own works, professionally print the limited editions with the latest museum grade printer, research new opportunities abroad and try to make time to create new paintings. Being a completely self taught artist has helped me to climb over the fear of any new aspect of the art business world. I enjoy the new challenges and often attempt new ideas, much like I do with my paintings, to see how far I can walk the rope.
My latest creations are a mix of the stable aspects of my uniquely developed art style, along with some new concepts and features to push the boundaries a little. Hopefully you all can find something to enjoy in my creations this month. A few of which are planned for my upcoming Miami, USA solo show. I’ll be showcasing a wide range of works with The Wall Art Gallery and at Art Miami during Art Basel week from November 29th to December 7th. More details coming in the next week or two. For now, here are my latest artworks and here are my latest limited edition prints on offer. Enjoy š

Balance of a Lion

July 23rd, 2025
I had tried earlier this year to provide consistent weekly blog posts. However, I failed. Given I do most things myself in my art career, weeks quickly get filled up with tasks. Often the social media posts, my website and admin tasks become last minute focuses. Though now, I’m focusing on improving some mental health and work/life balance. Thus, I feel a weekly blog should be priority- it is not only nice for sharing my artistic journey with you all, but is also a great way to write out my thoughts and feelings on my artistic direction.
This week I’ve been focusing on expressing my views on existence as usual. I see the world as a lollie shop of discovery- so much beauty in nature and opportunities for connection. However, we must balance our raw desires with toil. A beautiful garden grows from love, knowledge and diligence. I try to share this in my works, but sometimes not so powerfully. The splashes help, but I feel it’s time to push a bit deeper and make my points more transparent.
I have been working on a large lion painting. Lions, to me, are rich with symbolism. They are a great symbol of power, beauty and the strong contrasts in existence. I’m adding my usual element of sound as the representation to hearing the Earth and Universe around us, but also listening to the voice within. A new element is being added to this work, something I’ll leave for you to discover. I think it will help share my philosophy on existence a little more. Either way, it’s an exciting level up I feel. I’m almost ready to add the acrylic splashes of emotion and passion. Once dried, I’ll upload to my website this coming Monday July 28th and hope many of you, maybe some of you, or even just one of you feel my story in this work. Pay attention to the eyes, they hold the secret.
Whilst awaiting my latest lion original creation- here are two previous works, as limited editions.
Take care

Searching For Deeper Meaning and Purpose- Where Next?

July 19th, 2025
I’ve had a busy 12 months filled with shows, live events, charity events, business events and special commissions including a secret celebrity and royalty commission. Even though I’m mentally very strong, recently I’ve come very close to complete burnout. A couple decades of various failures and success working 12-16h days, 7 day per week of regular jobs and then constant work to build my art career from the ground up drains a lot of volts. Just this month I’ve taken a few days off to step back, rethink and redesign my mind and I’ve come to a new inner world of perspective…
I’ve been so heavily focused on three things- working as hard as I can each day, building business success and creating artistic success. However, I hadn’t ever considered ‘complete artistic freedom’ or ‘mental freedom’. As much as I enjoy creating with a focus to share what I see as the most beauty in the world around me, I crave to express more deeper aspects of what explains human condition. The lines, shadows, shapes, textures and colours all explain how I see and feel the world. But sometimes, I only hint or provide a side theme to what is unexplained in the interpretation of meaning. This is something I seek to dive deeper into at any cost. Whether it be at the cost of beauty to the form of artistic creation, or at risk of my art being seen as “too weird” or “over conceptualised”.
I’ll continue to share works which express my love of the immediate world around me through both my realistic skills and expressive interpretations. But I’ll also start sharing some of my deeper thoughts and dreams with you all through new wild creations… the original artworks which may only be suited and desired to the one unique person out there on the other side of my canvas. I hope you all enjoy the works to come either way. Oh, and the second part- “mental freedom”… I’ll be allowing myself a whole day off each week to live life and no think, just do, just be, just exist and feel the freedom to relax the mind. This will be my most challenging task! I’m sure many of you can relate.

Why I Freeze Up at the Thought of Wool: Living with Sensory Processing Sensitivity
July 6th, 2025
I have never really spoken about this beforeānot in a blog, not in interviews, and certainly not in my art descriptions. But today feels like the right time, given Iām gradually leaning into the more weird and conceptual focuses in creation. Itās something I live with daily, and oddly enough, itās played a somewhat great role in shaping how I create.
I live with something called Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS)āa condition where… Continue to READ MY SEARCH & DISCOVERY
My Latest Artworks ā A Quiet Reflection
April 22, 2025
In my newest works, Iāve been exploring some deeper thoughts that have been sitting with me and my collectors for a while. “Ape Audio“ is about the strange beauty of evolution and how we communicate across timeāit’s a baby ape playing a tuba filled with flowers, with a human reflection gazing back, like a soft echo of where weāve come from. “Cosmic Playground“ is a lighter but still thoughtful pieceāimagining life as a swing through the stars, playful yet tied to something bigger. And “The Gold Coast Fig Tree“ is a more personal visualāa dreamlike memory of beauty in time, where nature seems to open doors to somewhere peaceful.
I hope these bring you something to feel, reflect on, or just enjoy for a moment. For now, I’m off to Singapore to connect with some business partners and make further connections in the growing Asia art market. Keep up with my adventures on social media- Instagram or Facebook
Take care

How Death Inspired My Art
March 13, 2025
In 2012, my world shifted in a way I could never have anticipated. My grandad passed away, and his death left an emptiness that words couldnāt express. At the time, I was deeply invested in… Continue to READ MY DISCOVERY
The Role of Music in My Art
February 26, 2025
Art, for me, has always been an emotional journeyāan exploration of thoughts, feelings, and the chaotic beauty of existence. Music is not just a backdrop to my process; itās an integral part of how I create. It shapes my mood, guides my brush, and fuels the raw emotion embedded in every piece I produce. As I dive into each artwork, music becomes… Continue to READ BLOG POST

Colour Psychology in Art: How I Use Colours to Evoke Emotion
February 19, 2025
As an artist, I see colour as one of the most powerful tools for expression and connection. Each hue carries an emotional weight, influencing how we perceive art and the feelings it evokes. My work explores the psychology of colour, using it to express movement, emotion, and energy in a way that speaks to the soul. Whether youāre an artist, an art collector, or simply an admirer of creativity, understanding the psychology behind colours can… READ BLOG POST
