Famous Australian Artist Ashvin Harrison in Germany for Posterlo

European Tour- Posterlounge 20 Year Celebrations

August 30-October 12
Painting Live in Germany and Tour in Europe

I was lucky enough to be invited to Posterlounge’s (Europe’s largest art print on demand company) 20 year celebrations where I painted live to a large audience of original art and print collector fans of mine. I attended the incredible gala celebration night and met up with art fans and friends in the biz throughout Europe. First stop was Leipzig Germany where I met up with Mandy the co-founder of Posterlounge and her team. They took me on a private tour of the huge new facility and factory where all the prints are produced for their European collectors. Several of my works were being printed and prepared on the day for collectors, which was great to see in person. I was told I’m their most successful contemporary artist in the 20 year company history outselling masters such as Leonardo Di Vinci. I rank as the fourth highest selling artist behind Monet, Van Gough and Klimt.

After this exciting tour and information about my success with works as prints, it was time to do my hair (shave my head) and head to the special gala night celebrations. It was an epic night of fine drinks and food with celebration speeches throughout the night. The next day was planned for my live painting at their factory facility. The factory was filled with fans of my art and fans of Posterlounge. The music was pumping, paint flowing and art created. Both live created works were successfully auctioned of charity with many prints signed for the art fans. I had an absolutely incredible time meeting everyone and enjoying the celebrations with Posterlounge staff. My trip to Germany finalised with some wonderful time spent with the staff at a private dinner event.

I was straight off to Switzerland, Paris and Barcelona where I met with art collectors, staff from a previous gallery I sold with and some models for art posing. Each city provided a perfect backdrop for exciting collaborations and connections with the wonderful people I met. I was able to connect on many levels and find both inspiration and opportunities to help grow my artist careers.

Next stop was Bucharest, Romania to meet up and work a week with fellow artist Flavia. She welcomed me into her studio space where we spent the week creating and talking business. It was a great opportunity to connect on all level of art and explore the art worlds we navigate. Flavia is a great abstract artist with a focus on exploring natural and man made surfaces and textures. This inspired me and my work and how to include more texture in my own creations. After a wonderful time together, I was off yet again on a plane to another country.

Next stop was Vienna, Austria to explore the gallery scene there. I went and saw ‘The Kiss’ in person, with many other artworks to inspire. Vienna is possibly my favourite city in the world. The blend of old and new inspire me to express more of this balance in my own works. After Vienna, a busy trip through various other cities in Czechia, Austria, Italy, France and the UK was planned. I spent much of the time exploring art inspiration, connecting with galleries, connecting with fans of my art, creating content for Youtube and catching up with a few friends along the way. Time flew by so fast and before I knew it, it was time for a flight back to Australia. Thank you to all the wonderful people of Europe. Can’t wait to head back again soon!
