Description
Where Dreams Orbit (2025)
Original Fine Art Painting by Ashvin Harrison
“He sits not on the field alone — but within a universe where dreams circle endlessly.”
Artwork Description:
Where Dreams Orbit is an original fine art painting by Ashvin Harrison, a meditation on youth, wonder, and the limitless reach of imagination. In this composition, Harrison merges detailed charcoal realism with cosmic abstraction, capturing the delicate threshold where a child’s dream transcends the boundaries of Earth.
The boy, painted in fine coconut charcoal, sits perched on a soccer ball, jersey marked with the number 7 and a personalised art collector name- HAAF. His posture is quiet yet intent, gaze fixed toward the infinite above. Beyond him stretches a vast sky of blended blues and violets, spattered with expressive arcs of pinks, teals, and deep blacks — the painted energy of galaxies in motion.
Suspended across this cosmos float the planets of our solar system, each meticulously painted, orbiting in harmonious rhythm. Among them, the Earth glows with familiar oceans and continents, and circling it, like a faithful moon, is a soccer ball — a symbol of dreams tethered to both play and possibility. This small detail transforms the scene into a metaphor: passion and purpose are not bound to the ground but can orbit beyond the dreams and stars.
With its balance of realism and abstraction, Where Dreams Orbit speaks to the vastness of imagination, the innocence of youth, and the way simple passions can grow into galaxies of potential. In Harrison’s evolving practice of Motusrealism, the work becomes both vision and promise — a reminder that dreams are not only born on Earth, but orbit forever in the cosmos.
