I’ve been wanting to create a super sized blue wren for some time now, though never got around to it- until now. I decided to go all out and create a 1.2m example of this beautiful creature. They are a common theme in my works singularly or within other pieces as they represent beauty and freedom perfectly to me. The realistic charcoal look has been mix smoothly with the acrylics to allow for a calm blend and soft finish. I then added a wild splash of various blue acrylic and gouache mixes to create a resin-like tail. This large canvas piece is ready to hang.

With my unique charcoal application techniques and acrylic splashing style, I express my thinking and emotions on what I see as beauty in life.
