I have created a whale painting as inspired by the recent migration of humpbacks in my region. I love creating the charcoal on their bodies as they have such a strong contrast in shading. I used a mix of 6 blue acrylics with one almost white. I splashed in a way to express motion in water and to show a depth in an ocean section. This large painting is sealed with high quality fixatives and created on my new high quality pine backed canvas- ready to hang.
