My latest charcoal and acrylic creation is of the beautifully powerful eagle. This time, I’ve used an all new made up acrylic mix. I’ve been experimenting with my mixes this week to see how they interact. I have been able to improve my emulation of natural rock and gem formations. This acrylics mix allows for some complex abstract close up wing splatters. Something like you would see in a gemstone. The black splashes mixed throughout provided a balance and strength, whilst the blues hints at rain and sky.

With my unique charcoal application techniques and acrylic splashing style, I express my thinking and emotions on what I see as beauty in life.
