My bird painting is inspired by the beautiful sea birds in the Moreton Bay region. I created a realistic looking bird with charcoal, then added some acrylics and fluid acrylics to create a sense of movement in the wings. I used 9 different acrylic colours, of which I made all unique colours. I mixed various pastel and transparent acrylics with white, sandy white and opal white to create this soft and subtle splashing in the wings. I then added a hint of yellow in the eye to add character and a greater sense of life.

I created this unique style of photorealism/abstract expressionism art a few years ago. All my sold artworks have been safely shipped express with insurance to the door, worldwide. All my art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a new updated certificate of authenticity.
