This painting is inspired by the magnificent protea flower or ‘sugarbush’. The beautiful protea flower represents hope and change. First charcoal was painted to create a realistic looking stem and flower coming to bloom. A realistic acrylic colour theme of magenta, ash pink, petal pink and garden greens were used throughout. Some expressive splatters and dots were dropped and splashed around the flower for good energy, feeling and balance.

This rolled canvas artwork is sold unframed. An example is shown of the artwork in a frame. This artwork will fit a standard A3 size frame. The artwork is sold cut to size, though can be cut at 2cm wider and longer edges to allow for stretching if preferred. Please notify if you plan to stretch. This painting is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
