This expressive dance painting is inspired by a love of ballet dance- the action, the movement, the power and the elegance. First dark charcoal was finely painted onto the gallery style canvas to create a realistic looking beautiful woman in a ballerina pose. A soft Matisse ash pink, pastel purple, sandy cream, soft peach, opal white, vintage white and light magenta acrylics were painted, splashed and splattered to form an abstract dress. Some drops and splatters of gold and gold reflective acrylic medium were used to created a reflective and exciting energy to the painting. The splatters and splashes of acrylics are applied in expressive movements in reaction to music played- sense the sense of rhythm in some of the splatters and dot drops.

This artwork is ready to hang straight out of the box. The high quality gallery styled canvas has a soft white gesso background and sides and creates a strong shadow with the 4cm (1.5″) thick edging- making it suitable for dark and light wall shades. All art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
