My latest charcoal and acrylic tree painting had been commissioned with particular colours in mind. This piece is based off a Jacaranda piece I created in October 2017. I created a tree with a balance of feminine and masculine shapes and lines. I used a mix of soft and acute blending in my charcoal brushing to provide a sense of strong light and leaf movement from above. A mix of 7 pink acrylics were used to provide both depth and shine. I used a new mauve/magenta mix for the first time on any art piece too.
