This painting is a focus on the beauty of a butterfly in flight. First charcoal was delicately painted in a unique and made up way to create a realistic looking butterfly. A mix of magenta, blue, cream, storm blue/green, black and gold acrylics were lightly painted and mixed to create a fluid feel and look in the wings. Expressive splashes of each acrylic were added to the painting in waves and twirls from the brush to make a feeling of movement and emotion.

This artwork is ready to hang straight out of the box. The high quality canvas has a soft white gesso background and sides and creates a strong shadow with the 4cm (1.5″) thick edging- making it suitable for dark and light wall shades. All art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
