I have returned to the first style of art I started creating a few years ago. I was first interested in creating nude body drawings as an expression of beauty and existence through an existentialism philosophical view point. I want to express the human fragility and shortness in time of existence. However, I aim for this to be a positive expression like that of a short crisp sunset or a beautiful butterfly. My unique style of applying charcoal of paper allows for smooth blending and some subtle detail. I focused on a new balance of shadowing in this charcoal study. I felt this piece would suit as a pair with another work I recently created, so I uploaded an example of them together for you.

My nude charcoal works have sold to collectors around the world with many commenting on the smooth effect I achieve and the strong contrast to create beauty and balance. All my works are sealed with fixatives and shipped with great care. This piece will fit a standard A3 frame.
