Llanos Portrait – commissioned painting
This painting was commissioned by an art collector in Canada. First the charcoal was applied to create a soft elegant and beautiful woman. The facial features were a strong point in ensuring an accurate depiction based off photo. Much time was spent ensuring detail into the earrings and shoes, which are also drawn by charcoal. Once all the charcoal sections were painted into the gallery canvas, a mix of acrylics and mediums were added. A resin-like pour was added to create a strong and flowing dress. Splatter and splashes in soft movements were created in both an aim for balance and beauty. Finally, highlights and shine was added with titanium white and Matisse silver and shimmer mediums.
This artwork is ready to hang straight out of the box. The gallery canvas has white sides and creates a strong shadow with the 4cm (1.5″) thick edging- making it suitable for dark and light wall shades. All art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
