This art piece is a commissioned piece based on a previous work inspired by infamous bushranger, Ned Kelly. The art collector has a very close link to Ned Kelly and has now become a barrister- further linking to the story behind this connection.

I’ve included a gavel in the right hand and a wren on the opposite shoulder to hint at a balance of power and judgment. I am completely taken by the story and history of Ned Kelly. I continue to express my perspectives on this through a feminine nude portrait- linking to my existential views.

I have now sourced new high quality canvas. The canvas has environmentally sustainable pine backing, high quality cotton duck canvas and also a thick 4cm cross pine frame. This heavier canvas allows me to create more realistic and detailed charcoal art pieces.
