I’m continuing to try new subjects and themes within my realistic/abstract expressionism style. My leaves and flower painting is inspired by the beautiful Australian native Eucalyptus gum tree. I created a smooth and feminine line with charcoal brushed for the stem branch. I then created soft charcoal brushed leaves and gum nuts to support a lightly spread acrylic wash over the top. Much of my paper art pieces appear to have a watercolour application, but they’re all Matisse and Golden acrylics with acrylic mediums. I added three pink tones to flick and splash off the flowers to provide a sense of movement and life. This 220gsm paper art piece will suit a standard A3 frame. Sold unframed.
