Here is my latest art piece to add to my growing dancer series is inspired by The Wizard of Oz. This movie still drifts me away in a world of beautiful vibrancy. I’m not brave enough to create a green horse yet, so an emerald dressed dancer is my next artistic step. I created a realistic charcoal woman and shoes, then mixed some resin and acrylics to create a flowing dress and abstract expressionist splatters of movement. 8 acrylic colours were used to provide a deep and also vibrant colour range of green and cream. I don’t use much glazing medium in my resin mix to avoid an over shining effect. This allows the dress to mix in well with the acrylics and charcoal overall.
