This art piece is inspired by the incredible beauty of Marilyn Monroe. I started with charcoal to create a drawing/brushed painting of Marilyn based off two photos I liked of her. I added a soft hint of detailed charcoal hair to provide a dreamy feel. I then splashed four pink acrylic mixes throughout her hair as I felt these colours to give a hint at both a time past and present influences in fashion colour. I then added a light blue mix for her eyes to draw the viewer in. *I now offer my portrait style art for commissions based off any portrait photo.

This artwork is ready to hang straight out of the box. The canvas has white sides and creates a strong shadow with the 4cm (1.5″) thick edging- making it suitable for dark and light wall shades. All my art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
