Desert Storm DanceArtwork Details
Here is a new take on a continuing theme of dance and movement. I have seen Bangarra Dance Theatre a few times now and am taken every time by the story telling through movement. The power and passion mix has inspired me to create a piece with this in mind. I decided to create a colour mix of desert colours with hints of ‘gouache rain’. The resin mix has a strong orange base with eight other mixes throughout. Best seen up close. I twisted the paint flicks up to hint at fire.
My unique process of applying charcoal to canvas to create photorealistic art is done through the use of various paint and makeup brushes cut to shape. I used a specific ready to hang canvas with environmentally sustainable pine backing behind high quality cotton duck canvas and also a thick 4cm cross pine frame. This heavier canvas allows me to create more realistic and detailed charcoal art pieces. Over 200 of my artworks have been safely shipped worldwide; with insurance and tracker included.
All ArtWhat you can expect with your art purchase All art pieces have a mix of charcoal and acrylics on canvas and also can demonstrate hints of resin and resin-like mixes. I find that charcoal provides a strong contrast yet also soft blending, which expresses my thoughts on existence well. I use the acrylic mixes to express my feelings on life and provide a sense of movement. Once dry and sealed, you will see an interesting 3D type effect. The charcoal appears to come out of the painting as if the subject is real. Most collectors comment on the detail I place in my works and how the art appears far greater in person than online.
All my art pieces are signed on the front, named on the back and come with a certificate of authenticity. I used the best quality packaging materials to ensure safe interstate and international shipping. I start with a wrapped layer of acid free paper and also cover in corrugated cardboard. Then I wrap in 50mm thick bubble wrap and place in a tight cardboard box. You also receive a selection of my ‘art magnets’ to enjoy.Follow on Instagram
