I have created a bird as an expression of freedom through the mind. I started with a realistic looking bird created with charcoal on canvas. I then mixed five acrylic blues to create an expressive and abstract splatter of movement and emotion in the wings. I use my own made up techniques for both my charcoal and acrylics splashing. This charcoal and acrylic artwork is on my new high quality rolled canvas.

I am starting to create more works on rolled canvas as this allows for my usual thick acrylic application, though provides more options for the art collector in framing or backing. I’ve allowed an extra 1-2cm on the edges for this so you can frame, back or simply trim and pin up on your wall.

I created this unique style of photorealism/abstract expressionism art a few years ago. All my sold artworks have been safely shipped express with insurance to the door, worldwide. All my art is sealed with high quality charcoal and acrylic fixatives and includes a new updated certificate of authenticity. Artwork sold unframed. Photos in framed and backed are for example only.
